Pagani | Known for radically styled, low-volume supercars sporting over-the-top embellishments, Italian automaker Pagani has been building flashy track-killing machines since 1992. The company's first creation was the Zonda, which put Pagani on the map and was offered as both a coupe and a convertible. The Pagani Huayra replaced the Zonda in 2011 and boasts a 720-hp twin-turbocharged V-8 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG. Then there's the Huayra BC Roadster—only 40 were produced, and they cost $3.4 million.”

A quote from Car and Track Magazine USA

The image above I took is that of a Pagani Zonda Absolute in Hong Kong, I was lucky enough to catch it roaring by when I was outside the Hong Kong Country Club on the south side of Hong Kong Island.

This is a custom car which is Pagani’s stock in trade business, according to Hong Kong Government records, there are currently 9 Pagani’s licenced and registered for road use in Hong Kong, to highlight context - we have over 4,000 Ferrari’s in Hong Kong!

You have to have some serious money to purchase one of these cars which are roughly priced between US$2 - 4 Million depending on the degree of customisation.

My hat goes off to the owner of this car, he is passionate about his cars and has no problem taking them out for a drive and naturally he has impeccable taste, cars like this are just so far ahead of Electric Cars in terms of everything to do with a car and when I heard the roar of this engine, I got the shivers, it sounded amazing.

Regrettably the green politicians in Hong Kong have got their wish and non electric cars will be totally phased out in Hong Kong by 2035 although recent reports have stated that some of these eco zealot politicians want non electric cars banned by 2030 - it does not matter what we do in Hong Kong, we are a small city and what we do here will have a totally negligible impact on reducing our carbon footprint…… but that is an argument for another day.

In the meantime I can still look at my images, a Pagani is a work of art.
