My experience is simply a Talking Tour and will appeal to travellers who want to learn about the real Hong Kong which is just a little different to what you might read in the press or if you have been on a tour, from a tour guide - It is possible that you already have tours booked on your visit to Hong Kong either with coach tours or you have booked a private | group tour, I simply offer a detailed overview of Hong Kong based on living here for 52 years and completing 2,324 private tours of Hong Kong.

I can guarantee that my take on Hong Kong will be very different from what you might hear from what is euphemistically called a local person, I love Hong Kong, it is my home and with 52 years living here you can be sure of some very interesting stories, through my own experiences I have found that many tour guides in Hong Kong get critical facts and figures wrong but more importantly they have a pure vanilla script that they work to and in general will never say anything remotely controversial and avoid many subjects either because it makes them uncomfortable or the knowledge is somewhat shallow.

I have a hard hitting “blog” which I take very seriously, I was an active blogger when I was operating J3 Private Tours and I am continuing that tradition with J3 Consultants, I have always found that people are really interested in Hong Kong and yet they go away with a feeling that they do not understand Hong Kong at all, I hope to change that.

Hong Kong is unique with a fabulous history and recent | current events have been very much distorted for example in the Foreign Press, reality in Hong Kong is quite different to what you might be reading about.

For those people that are curious I offer a different experience that will certainly get you thinking, you will get 2 sides of the story so to speak.

• I do my utmost to try and fit you in if my schedule is busy!

• Reminder - my experience calendar above is updated daily and is 100% accurate as of 8am daily Hong Kong time, as I am generally out during the day I cannot update my calendar to show any bookings received after 8am until after I get back

• When checking my availability please note it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to answer the phone when I am with my guests, also note that I cannot answer emails or messages when I am with guests, my focus is on the project I am busy with on the day.

Price List Notes

• If you book an Experience then you are booking an Experience with me, Jamie thus ensuring you get the best quality Experience, I have lived in Hong Kong for 52 years, I am passionate about Hong Kong and can be quite blunt

• Please note that I am limited to 3 hours only, if you want to book private tours of 3 - 8 hours I will send you a list of wonderful Private Tour Guides to contact

• The experience fee is the TOTAL experience fee

• Please note the Price List above is in United States Dollars - US$ or Hong Kong Dollars - HK$

• Please do read my terms and conditions aka. the small print, they are simple and straight forward.

• My fee is payable in cash, you can pay in either HK$ or US$, whatever is convenient for you, the exchange rate is US$1 = HK$7.80

• I can also accept payment in other currencies but subject to my confirmation in advance of the experience

• For cash payment I do not require a deposit before the day of the tour, we will settle up in cash on the day of the tour.

• The cost of any public transport such as taxi's, buses, mini buses, ferries, trams, the Peak Tram, the MTR, the Airport Express, NP 360 Cable Car etc. - in other words, transport costs are your responsibility. - sometimes in the interests of time I will suggest taking a taxi rather than other means of transport, I will always give you the option as taxi will be more expensive.

• Meals / Drinks / Snacks / Souvenirs etc.

• Please note - I pay my own transport costs

Who I welcome to participate | Individuals, Couples, Families, Cruise Ship Passengers, Business People, Conference Attendees, Student Study Groups, in fact any small group of up to a maximum of 4 people is more than welcome!
