I completed 2,324 private tours in Hong Kong serving 6,000+ guests until Covid 19 closed down Hong Kong in January 2020 for 3 full years, I have since retired from doing tours and spend my time doing Hong Kong research, working as a consultant, offering unique Hong Kong experiences and doing my photography.

I also spend a significant portion of my day doing research in the fields of tours, travel and tourism and share this on a daily basis with my friends.

Virginia has been a member of our Private Tour Guide group for a long time and her company has really cemented itself as offering some of the best tours in Hong Kong and how can you forget a company name like that!

I spent literally hours trying to decide on the best image header for this blog post, a fishball image was the obvious choice but in the end I settled on chicken feet, you want to learn about what Hong Kongers eat then get down and dirty with chicken feet! I am sure Virginia mentioned to me she liked to nibble on them.

Personally I would rather eat an old rancid sweaty sock but that is just me!

… and this is why I need to stress the importance of doing specific food tours with “a local”. like I said I have no issue with that.

Virginia really nailed it and then some and I have always recommended her and other foodie experts to my guests when I did private tours of Hong Kong, many of my guests would do 2 or even 3 tours whilst in Hong Kong with one of them being a very specific food tour and it seems doing a tour with Virginia was a must do! she really enhanced her reputation with her foodie offerings, particularly her Sampan Boat experience.

I have known Virginia since 2016, she started out amazingly doing free tours of Hong Kong which was NOT a good idea, she also had this thing of wearing moose antlers on her head, a nod to her upbringing in Canada. well it certainly put her on the map despite my misgivings! and it was not too long before she made the switch to paid tours, the rest they say is history.
